Thanks Oldman. If I remember correctly I come in from Gunnison the last time I was there. I hunted about 4 days in ?09. It?s the highest elevation I?ve hunted. I think I hit 12,000 on my GPS.
If anybody has any info they want to share about 55, I?ll take it. Not your spots, one of the guys in our group has hunted it and has a lot of miles in the area we plan on hunting but he hasn?t been there in several years. Just looking for places to avoid maybe strategies you have employed for early season archery. My initial thoughts, water as high as I can find it but I?m not an experienced elk hunter so I?ll keep reading and scouting online.
