Okay, I knew things in SF were a little out of hand for rent/ownership but really had no idea it was this extreme. $3300/month for a 1 bedroom apt at 700 sq feet! WOW!

Not sure I could get the wife to agree to living in a box in someone else\'s living room...okay, I know there\'s no way!!

Wow!!

I see only one option. Get the heck out of that state!

I would pick one that has plenty of hunting options.

haha..rent is stupid here.

my coworkers neighbor is renting out his 4 bedroom house in SF..(great area)..wait for it..wait. $6600 per month. you know what? he got it.

i TRIED to rent my house out..outside the city. tiny shack, 2 bedroom, 1 bath. shot for $2400 but fell short when the rental agency said they could only get $2000. i opted out and right now my house looks better than it ever has..waiting for my agent to list it. i\'m out.

i just had no heart to play landlord.

i\'m moving to Sonoma County..wine country!! house shopping now, but when my house sells, it would be infinitely easier..and i can up my budget significantly. i\'ll be close to free hog hunting..and will have extra room :)...and a great herd of blacktail a few hours north.

strangely enough, California is a fantastic hunting destination. not to expensive and we have pretty much every animal. arguably the BEST elk herd in the country. the northeast territory is a trophy elk spot. you need an act of the Almighty to draw a tag, but the animal are epic. i\'ve seen giant elk. and we also have Tule elk..smaller..cute almost. :)

as a resident. i feel i am always hunting. i never have downtime to send my bow in for new strings and tune from some of the \"supertuner\" types.
