Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from NC, born and raised here, which is a rarity here. Being from NC, I'm mostly a whitetail /turkey hunter. Been hunting for 35+ years and favor archery.
However, I have found my new passion/obsession! I was invited to go on a DIY public land elk hunt for two weeks in Montana in '14. Like many eastern hunters, elk hunting has always been a dream hunt. The guy that I went with had been traveling from NC for many years to elk hunt in Montana. Anyway, day 2 of our 14 day hunt, this blind hog found a nut. My buddy called a 302" bull to my lap. That was the highlight of my hunting career.
Anyway, due to that obsession, here I am!
No doubt, you guys have killed larger, but I couldn't be more happy with him.
