The place I generally hunt in NM had one of the mildest winters in a long time....
Unless they get some great rain soon I'll be watching the fire maps like a hawk and hoping nothing wild happens.  :? :? :?

Well, I will tell you where I hunt here in ND, we're "expecting" 10 more inches of snow by next weekend....TURKEY OPENER.

Colorado is definitely going to need a wet spring or we could be in for a nasty summer of fires...

First dance I am doing is a tag dance....

After I get them.... then it's a rain dance!

We have more than we know what to do with. I?ll take a drought this entire summer
I'll gladly send you some if you send some rain to NM!  :upthumb:

Dry, NO. Had 3? of snow on Easter and another inch last night. Rain every couple days. My bottoms have been flooded 3 times this month. Hard on nesting turkeys.

Not even close.  Ski area close here, which is at the same elevation I hunt in the fall, has had 35+ feet of snow this year.  Ski area to the east has had 40+ feet.  Right at my home there's been 100+ inches and now it's raining nearly every day.  Make it stop!

nope..

even the Mojave desert is getting rain now!!  that means a great quail and cottontail season next year!!

the deer..unknown.  might move them away from the waterholes we found.

150% snowpack and raining on and off for a couple weeks. Hopefully this will help with fire season. Last year was horrible

We?ve got  37 inches of snow in the month of April so far , so, no. Wisconsin will be at flood stage in 2018

Pretty dry this year in the Southern Sangre de Cristos.  Dry winter and very little snow/rains so far this spring.  Still hoping for good moisture in late April and May like we got last year.

NM is closing down national forests now because of how bad it is......

My wife and I had to evacuate Cimarron yesterday in Northern NM. So far over 16,000 acres burned in what has been labeled as the Ute Park fire. Pretty wild.

Of all the lists needed, I never thought I would need one for our life's most important items that will fit in two vehicles with no time to spare. Pretty sobering.

Hated to see that Joe, Last map I saw it looked like it was on Philmont and and some of the Chase. Some of those places were still scorched earth from the Ponil fire. Stay Safe.

Let us know if you need anything Joe.  I?ve still got plenty of family and friends out there that can help.  I pray for all the firefighters out there battling that one... it?s not good
