Anyone ever hunt the post-rut?

I've never had an unpunched tag this long. Those cow elk are prolly in some danger starting...now. I plan to employ the same tactics as always- get in their bubble and call/bugle with emotion.  I know the areas I hunt I'll be into them at dawn and dusk.

If anyone has a go-to tactic for late rut/post rut, would love to hear it.  If not, I'll post a pic of a cow (or calf) soon! Lol

Was out last night in SW MT, had 4 bulls with a group of 20 cows?? Herd bull was vocal and still chasing cows, just confused why there were raghorns in the herd

Seeing the same thing, bow_dozer.  Not sure what to think. I am also in SW MT. Herd bull is pretty vocal and active, but OK with raggys in his harem.  Weird.  Must be late?

I seem to draw a lot of end of/post rut tags and I use cow calls. Or just still hunt bedding areas if I get tired of sitting and waiting for them to move.

Located and cut him off on a game trail. 13 yards quartering to.  Thanks for the advice everybody
