Sure would like to hear if anyone out there has used the new SlingHook or what you think about the concept. www.talarikoutdoorgear.com/shop-talarik-products/slinghook

Interested as well.  I don't have as much of an issue with the bow, but my rifle sling is constantly sliding off my Badlands shoulder strap

The SlingHook is probably most useful for carrying slinged rifles with a backpack. We have had great luck with it with rifles, even with large external frame packs. You don't even feel it on your backpack strap. A lot of people like to pack their rifles away on their pack for hiking, but that doesn't work well for us in brown bear country.

Had a great response from a father-son hog hunting duo recently, in just a few hundred yards of hiking, the father was longing for a SlingHook like his son was wearing! Pretty cool.

Pretty nice review by Nancy Jo Adams, shows the versatility of the SlingHook from small turkey vest straps to larger pack straps. Sure would be helpful on long hikes scouting for elk with a rifle or a camera even. Probably want to put it up a little higher on your shoulder strap, but it seemed to work good for Nancy. http://ladiesincamo.com/licpr/2017/07/13/slinghook-by-talarik-outdoor-gear-nancy-jo-adams/

Interesting looking product. How quick can you unsling the gun from your shoulder while using that? I assume you just push the sling towards the center of your chest and it comes loose fairly easy?

Cohunter14 great question. The sling comes out fast, never hangs up. The opening is ~5/8" and smooth inside - angled just slightly inward so that the sling naturally wants to sit in the pocket. It's deep enough that even heavy neoprene slings slide right in and out when you need them. Other products have rubber attachments over the sling or buckles/snaps. The SlingHook offers convenient support as long as you need it anddoesn't get in the way when you need your rifle quickly.

I bought one of these a couple of weeks back before my rifle seasons kicked into full swing. I've really struggled with my sling staying on my shoulder with my newer pack. For some reason it continually slides off unless I really hold it in place. I was hoping the sling hook would help with this.

It's a great idea and design and it did what it was supposed to do, but unfortunately the outside of the shoulder straps on my pack sit a little too far out on my shoulder, so when using the sling hook it made the gun sit way out there as well, which wasn't very comfortable on my shoulder. It was basically like having the sling on the tip of my shoulder instead of in closer to my neck. It actually would work perfect if I could have the clip on the inside of my shoulder strap instead of the outside, but it wasn't designed that way. Maybe something to think about as an alternative design!

Thanks for the review cohunter.

I like using the Quake Claw Sling. It seems to stick pretty good to the shoulder.

Well, I got mine the other day and had the same issues. Tried hooking it up differently, and it helped. Now my rifle pulls the shoulder strap off. I have to cinch up the sternum strap tighter. It's not an issue with my daypack weight, but have to wonder what it's going to be like under a load.
