The opening day of archery season for Colorado and Oregon is only 10 days away! Who will be out hunting the opener?

I can literally FEEL it coming. I\'ll be out trying to fill my muley tag. I only have a day to hunt in a unit I\'ve never deer hunted but it\'ll be great just to be in the woods, bow in hand. Good luck and be safe to all those that are headed out!

Good luck, Will!!!!!

Get you a good one :)

13 days for me :)
10 until I\'m in the mountains.
.

Good luck to all of you Colorado hunters.

I have a potential client meeting on opening day....... AAAAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! Second and third weeks for me.

My son will be out opening weekend hoping to fill his deer tag. We will be in an area that is considered OTC for elk and we will have our tags as well but I am really considering leaving my bow in the truck and just focusing on his deer tag with him. I SOOOOOOOO badly want him to connect on his first big game animal this year and celebrate that feeling I got to experience last year. The area we have been hunting in the past has had a lot of deer in years past. I have a really good feeling that we could wrap it up (first legal animal) in the first weekend. I\'d LOVE nothing more than to be elbows deep in a deer next weekend!

Good luck Lark! I would bring the bow though...never know when you might stumble on some elk!

Your son would still be so proud of you and think of all that meat for your family!

We will have plenty weekends to hunt together throughout the season. I really want him to focus on the deer tag for opening weekend. I\'d prefer to not do any calling or anything. Just spot and stalk deer. We\'ll see though, I\'ll have it in camp and may change my mind when we arrive.

Either way, I\'m READY, and EXCITED!

I\'ll be out there, but not hunting. I will be the helper/guide/packer, etc. for my buddy the first 5 days. Then off to help my brother\'s and nephew on their high country early rifle muley tag. I won\'t be able to hunt for my cow until the 3rd week of archery, but that is fine with me, as I hope we are harvesting some nice animals! Then the last week of Sept out again with my buddy if he hasn\'t connected on a bull he wants.

Good luck everyone!

Anxious to hear your reports Roman! I know you have a lot of cool hunts that you are part of this year.

I plan to leave for camp this coming Monday. It could be just over a two week stay, or a long one. Best wishes to all archery hunters on the forum. I will look forward to seeing what you have on the annual meat pole.

Yeah Derek, I\'m excited to be helping everyone out in my group - it will be a blast! Here is a early morning photo from one of the units:

Roman
