Been at P90x3 since January ... last week off due to ... so many things. I\'m usually better at managing my time. Stress isn\'t good for you, I\'ll tell you that ... I\'m up 5 pounds from \"usual\" and 10 pounds from \"September\" weight.
It\'ll come around, though. Summer is here; camping, hiking, etc. added to \"workouts\" 5 days a week should get it done.
It is amazing, though, how 5 extra pounds can \"feel\" like 50!
And I moved my wife out into a second floor apt over the weekend, with only the help of my son. 18 trips in my Tundra and one FULL load in a 14\' U-Haul. I was spent by last night!
But, with summer here, I will continue the running, biking and hiking.
First scouting trip is planned for June 28 & 29. Can\'t wait!
i finished a 8 week program 4 weeks ago. was working out several times a week. but been gettin the house ready to sell, graduation in mo, short vacation, now back to work i have slacked off. but got a mud run in 6 weeks so will be training for that shortly.
Nope. I have been remodeling/updating my in-laws house since Jan and was getting a couple workouts in. I had to just focus on the house to get it done, so all my extra time goes into the house. Should be done within 2 weeks, then I will be gone the rest of June to the Philippines to visit my wife\'s family. July and August will be busy fat loss, cardio months for me, as I am really living up to my handle name!
Yes, everyday. Haven\'t missed a day since 12/21/13. 30 minutes/4 miles on a rowing machine and 5 minutes/1 mile on the stationary bike. I\'m old so I need to exercise more.
Brad, does your power walking get your heart rate up enough? Too much basketball for too many years has left my knees in pretty poor shape so that getting in good shape is hard on them. A few years ago after working out all summer my knees could barely get me up an incline. I\'ve tried to strike a happy medium since.
My wife & I will do a 2 mile brisk walk about 3 nights a week with about as much uphill as a person can get out here on the plains. Ride my bike daily to work & will go out to the track when it\'s cooler in the evenings & alternate between jogging 220yd & walking a 220. Tried the bleachers a couple years back & that just about finished me off. Old, bad knees just didn\'t really need that. If I could knock off about 15# between now & sept, I\'d be an elk killin machine........for a 59 year old... :? It amazes me every year how your body will adjust in a couple days to the high country. At least the area we have hunted for the last 10 years. This year, I have a feeling things will be a little different. But in a good way! :upthumb:
i get up in the morning do T25 go to work and hit the gym after work (free weights) and then do P90x the abb ripper x 3 times a week. I need to do some more outside running and pack training for alaska in sept.
Check out this motivation video.

I need to get back into my exercise program but can\'t seem to find the time lately. I work maintenance 40 hours a week and when I get home I am doing work around the farm. I am outside till dark every night. I cut wood, do construction work, work on cars, you name it. I will be digging a footing for a garage with a SHOVEL in a week or two. Just last week I carried a 400#safe up a flight of stairs and I know the guy on top wasn\'t pulling his share. I had bruises and abrasions on my hip to show it. I also had some very sore shoulders for a few days. Moved a friend last night. Some furniture is quite heavy. I am 5\'10\" and weigh about 175# which is 5# over last year. I have never been that out of shape but will testify that I perform better out west in the mountains if I stick to my P90X workouts. I belive I have the strength and think the cardio training is what helps most when I am sucking wind at 10500 ft.
