Arrows

Carbon Express Maxima 350's...But I think toughness is hard to measure. Any arrow you robin hood is junk. Any arrow that an elk kicks with their shoulder will snap like a dry twig. Just shoot straight.

I shot gold tips and wanted to change it up just to try a new arrow and see how they worked. I bought beamans and they seem to break everytime I shoot them and don't hit the intended target. I think I'm going to go back to gold tips.

I have had good luck with easton axis. The FMJ's are really good as long as you save a few arrows just for hunting. I stump shoot a lot and the aluminum in the allows means they will bend when a full carbon arrow would just flex back to straight. Beman are by far the worst arrows I have ever used. Bought a dozen and within a month was down to two because they broke everytime I shot at a squirrel or anything like that.

There are several good, durable arrows on the market. I shoot the Gold Tip XT Hunters because they are durable, straighter than advertised, and very common (easy to find). There weight is also very reasonable, not too light but heavy enough to generate good energy.

Gold tip hunter XTs for me here as well.  I've found them to be very durable and like others have said they are economically priced.

Saw an older gentleman at a 3d shoot drill a metal target with a goldtip achers edge and the thing bounced back and didn't have a crack.  I was so impressed I went and got some and they may not be the straightest arrow in a quiver, but they fly plenty good for me.
