So I still have a lot to learn when it comes to elk hunting and hunting in the back country. I have learned a lot off of this website, probably more than any other forum I follow mainly because we all seem to be adults here. Yesterday I watched this video and I feel that it will offer a lot of information to those of us new to the elk hunting and back country hunting. Here is a link to watch it if you haven\'t already.

I was at that seminar, and both guys are great at their specific styles. Aron is a hardcore backpack hunter and Chris is not as fit, but relies heavily on his calling strategies. It is always good to hear how other successful hunters use their gear, tactics, meat care, etc. A bonus in addition to their knowledge, is that I won a jetboil as one of the giveaways from 1 Shot Gear.

Roman that is awesome that you were able to check it out in person. Congrats on winning one of the prizes. I feel like that Chris Roe does a good job explaining the calling strategy. Aron Snyder is a beast when it comes to backpack hunting and passing out knowledge that he has learned through trial and error. I have been taking a lot of notes.

Yeah, that is a great video and one that can never be watched too many times. :upthumb:

I like them both. I actually purchased the subscription to Chris\' elk module. It is a tremendous amount of information and it is really good for a guy like me who can\'t hike out his back door and be into elk.
