Well I just purchased the Vortex Viper HD 10X42\'s today. I know how Vortex products hold up and I have looked through these binos several times and I think for my budget they will be great. I am now starting to research different tripods but I will hold off on that purchase until after I find out if I draw Oryx and antelope tags.
