Post any books that you recommend for any hunters up and coming or for the seasoned vets.

I\'ll start:

A book that my wife bought for me and that I enjoy a lot is \"Bowhunting tactics of the pros\" by Lamar Underwood.\"
It\'s a great book that has knowledge and info from a lot of old time hunters. I\'ve learned a few good things from it and I always read it before I start a season.

Anyone else have any good books to read? I don\'t mind if it\'s tips or just great stories.

If you want just plain \'ole archery, waterfowl or fishing hunting stories, anything by Don Thomas is a good read.

oddly, i dont read a lot of hunting books.

ironically, it was the series of books from Jim Kjegaard that got me into hunting. so if your kids need books, they are damn fun and full of adventure. i think the first real book i read was Big Red from Kjegaard. i remember reading that book with a loose tooth, so that puts me at around 7? i dont know..memory laspe.

as an adult, that Steven Rinella book the Meat Eater is awesome. so is his Buffalo book. i learned a lot.

I have never read one before I read this one, Cliff. I honestly enjoy it.

I like to bring it out camping or read it while I am hunting.

I never liked reading, but it\'s a whole different story when it\'s something you\'re passionate about.

Bowhunting Modern Elk by Patrick Meitin

Bowhunter\'s Guide to Accurate Shooting (The Complete Hunter) by Lon E. Lauber

Tree Stand Hunting Rocky Mountain Elk by John Erickson. Sold online at http://www.elkmtngear.com

About the only one I read and go back to is Capstick\'s Death in the Long Grass. Very entertaining read.
