So I have a buddy that has enough points for a tag in this area. He was asking me about it. I know that there are monster bulls down there, but I have heard a lot of negative things about hunting there.
Any info would be much appreciated. He is a Former Green Beret and can hike anywhere, so keep that in mind.

The big bulls are killed down there later in the rifle seasons.  I'm guessing that's what your buddy is thinking?  There are much better places to burn 10 pts for archery obviously.  4th rifle may take more than 10 pts.  Definitely not worth 10 to bow hunt.

Hmm, no wonder. Well, I'll be keeping this in mind if I ever come across a similar situation.
