Lou,

funny this thread comes up, but check out the PM I sent you a few days ago!
If you have time.

Congrats on the article guys!

Looks good, Brad! and congratulations to Cole again! Looking forward to seeing Ryan\'s smile with his first elk!

Daniel, sorry, I didnt get an email message notice about the PM for some reason. I just replied. I\'ll help you out.

Bow and Arrow Hunting is usually at grocery store magazine racks. In CO it\'s at King Soopes and City Market for sure. Its a national magazine so most places that sell magazines carry it. I contribute regularly to this one and a sister pub, along with Bowhunter magazine.

I should clarify that the article isn\'t about me or Cole.
There are other Colorado guys pics too :)
It highlights on how we hunt and where.

Lou does a great job on the format and putting it into print.
Me? Not so much ;(

It\'s mostly about how to stay away from OTCWill and the Sitka Army. ;)

Neither Brad or I own enough Sitka or Kuiu to get past the entrance checkpoint at wilderness area trailheads so we have to make-do with where they allow us to hunt. Mostly in the Salvation Army area with the old guys wearing cotton woodland camo.

Hey, Uncle Louie! When my digicam gets too dirty I kill elk in my Carharts and cotton ;)

Will, if I draw that sheep tag I\'ll gladly reward you with my infamous \'80s woodland cotton coveralls, blood stains and all!

I just about shot coffee all over my keyboard reading that one! Funny stuff Lou :haha:

That one ranks up there with Dan\'s blue jeans and white tee shirt whitetail hunt this year. What did that bull score Will? Pretty impressive!

I gotta say if I saw a guy dressed like that driving around in a Subaru, I sure wouldn\'t expect a rack like that to be in the trunk! Maybe I spent a few too many years in Boulder...

Thats all we wore up in the North Maine woods and if it wasn\'t that, then we were in plaid shirts and wool pants.
I\'m pretty sure more animals have been killed in these types of outfits than anything else!

Beautiful bull! :upthumb:

Here is me and Pikemaster about 25 years ago.
His first archery deer!
Check out those old bows and the camo! :)

is it just me or was you not wearing glasses back then, lol. love the old bows and camo pics. brings back alot of good memories.

This brings back some great memories of days gone by. I can certainly see the trend to expensive clothes. That trend has not caught on with me. And I don\'t have a smart phone either.
Congratulations on the article Lou. I will try to read it at the supermarket, while my wife does her shopping. :D

Thanks, Swede. I have a couple friends who read my articles like that every month. This month I have two articles at the grocery so it\'ll take two trips of wife shopping. That assumes you can keep away from the Kardashian articles in the magazines beside it. ;)
