Ive been hunting  the same bull for the past three weeks. First week i was able to call him into 20yds but was not able to get a clear shot, I bugled and used sticks to rub on trees to piss him off and bring him in that close. I figured out his bedding area and every time I go in there i bugle and he bugles and this goes back and forth for 30min or so then all of a sudden he stops and there is no more. I have used a variety of calls and made myself sound like a herd of cows, bulls and etc. He seems to be staying about 60-100yds away but i can't bring him in any closer. Any ideas or tactics that i should know about that I haven't tried??? thanks.

Had the same thing happen for me and my hunting partner this year, we tried switch up tactics, dropping scents, sneaking in, making tons of noise, you name it we tried it... He was a big boy, he started moving down the drainage to where we had been calling from, everyday got closer, the last night we had up there we let out 3 cow calls he started screaming at us, came in to 40 yards winded one of us or knew if was us bugled and grabbed his cows and left... I guess my point is try something different if you can, close the distance charge him, circle him, if you can come in from a different spot, like dropping in from the back side or a different side than normal might get him pissed enough... You might have to take someone else in there with you that can call and keep him distracted while you sneak up on him...

Hey munoz- how'd this turn out?  My go to on this problem would have been to sneak in with a partner and do everything BUT call (stomp, branches, rubbing).  Sounds like u needed a partner...
