Changing Units

Hey all,

I was planning a OTC Archery elk hunt mid sept in SW CO. Looks like that area is staying extremely dry. I?m now looking at plan B. Looking at units 581 & 59 now. If any one has any pointers or intel on these areas in respect to my time and weapon choice, please PM me!

Okieelk, I?d personally be patient with your initial plans. The mountains have got a decent amount of rain lately and two counties in the SW portion of the state actually have removed fire bans in the last few days. If you do decide to go a different route, I?d recommend something other than 59 and 581. They get a ton of local traffic, and not just hunters. You?ll see hikers, bikers, and tons of ATV?s in those areas that time of year.
