Cold weather clothes

Son is 36 if he doesn't stay dry his problem  :D
I have gotten a Browning 4 in 1 coat, waterproof, windproof and has a liner is it hope that works for both cold and wet, got a pair of Cabela's stay dry insulated pants, morino wool base layer, still thinking of waterproofing my Wranglers for a day I don't need the heavy pants, will just have to see what the weather is, need to get shoes yet thinking Wolverines or Redwings, wear Redwings for work all the time and have for 40 yrs, have gotten almost everything else I need that is on the list just to need to get to shooting, getting in shape, loosing some weight and lift some weights. Thanks to all for your input and will still like to hear more. Camera? I have a digital 35mm with a 300 zoom lens(kinda big) or just take our small point and shoot that can fit in my shirt pocket

Great work on the preparation. I personally would invest more on my boots and leggings but it depends on how much hiking and climbing you will be doing. I average around 3-10 miles per day, meaning my legs and boots receive the most contact with wet weather so it is crucial I have proper gear. They get me from point A to point B so having solid insulation and being water repellent for both are a must.

I grew up hunting with sweats covered by blue jeans and 2-3 layers on top with my shoes being low cut doc martins......I survived but now that I look back "how?" I have no idea. Now a days when I hunt in November. I use my Rocky boots with normal socks and wool socks over the top. I use some kind of thermals, and good thick pants unless its cold then I put wool pants over the top. And for a top layer I have under armour, tshirt, sweater, outer coat. For rifle hunting I don't think camo is all that important. I wear camo if its available other than that just about any clothing will be good.

Certainly consider some better boots, anything cheap and stiff will leave you feeling cheap and stiff. I like Lowas, but that's me.  ;)  On the camera, I feel odd leaving my camera home these days, but my Motorola phone takes such great pictures, I take it on all my hunts whether I have cell service or not.
