Colorado NR Tag Purchase

I was wanting to buy my OTC tag prior to my hunt. If I'm not mistaken I need to purchase online prior to season opener.  Assuming I do this, do I need to allow time for a tag to be physically mailed or do I print my license off with a printer?

Tags take approximately 10 days to ship in the mail (depending on the state). After purchasing you will automatically get a "temporary" CO hunting license (ID NUMBER) so no need to worry about that.

OTC archery tags are available at any license agent even after the season starts, so you could drop by any WalMart or sporting goods store after you get here if that's easier for you.

It doesn't matter if you get a temporary license authorization in Colorado when you buy online or not. It's not like a fishing license that you could show to a wildlife officer if he stopped you. If you are in Colorado and hunting and don't have a physical carcass tag in-hand, you don't have a tag.
