Visited a friend last night and he showed me what they found after knocking down a wall to expand his closet. Pretty cool!

Took it to one gun dealer here and they were able to see a marking. Think it\'s Civil War ear and made in Belgium. He\'s taking it to another guy this weekend to check on restoration. He\'d just like it restored enough to put above the fireplace. Hopefully he can find out more about it. Second picture is just of the percussion caps on the barrel. Both hammers pull back and lock and both triggers work. All I found when remodeling our bathroom was shoddy work from the original home builder!!

That is cool. I have only found old beer cans while working on houses. I installed a furnace in a house in 1986 and left behind a pepsi can. I wrote \"I was here but now I\'m gone\" on the can and my name. Someone was working on the house years later and found my can. They managed to locate me and called to tell me they had found it. I received the call in about 2010.

Derek, there was a gap between the exterior wall and the wall he knocked down so not like in-between the studs of the wall but rather behind it.

Funny story on the Pepsi can!

I found almost the same thing. But mine is in bad shape. I hung it above my garage door. It looks like art. :)
