The Short Season just released their latest short film titled 'UTAH'. We were fortunate enough to have Ronan Donovan tag along with us for 8 days during my archery elk hunt last fall, and he captured some awesome footage. You can check it out here:

Saw it on the big screen in Bozeman MT . great to see some quality hunting videos coming out these days instead of the same old boring sit in a tree stand/ blind stuff that has plagued the out door channels the last few years.  Hope to see more from you Corey.Keep up the good work.

Just watched it a few minutes ago & definitely the message brought to life about a great hunting partner truly hit home with me.
I lack that on my solo hunts, & it sure would mean the world to me to have a buddy to be that close too, & share such a great time with in the outdoors.

As a rookie elk hunter, I would like to ask how it was not what you expected?

I had a blast watching the video. I drew the book cliffs (roadless) in 2008.  It brought back a ton of memories for me.  It is a hard hunt. There are no gimme's down there, you have to work hard and Mother Nature doesn't always cooperate.  Hot, cold, frost, bears, lots of elk eyes, and steep nasty.  My trip out was one of the most physically demanding things that I have ever done. So many things in your movie brought a smile of recognition to my face.  Even your bull shares some characteristics to mine.  Thanks for sharing.

This week has been somewhat of a catchup week for me. I had great plans for this last fall but it all fell through. I have been so busy with work.  What an awesome winter treat to see that.  Congrats on the bull Corey! Here is to many more productive Septembers for you and your hunting partner. I am curious to know how his Wyoming hunt went after your hunt was over.
