Craigslist Find

I search the sporting section for items I might be interested in for hunting or camping. I spotted a backpack frame someone wanted $7 for. I am picking it up tonight after work. I have one like it with the camo bag on it already. But for 7 dollars I can use it for something.

I bought my wall tent form Craigslist too. $200 for a 12 x14 fire retardant tent and heavy duty rain fly.

Not to derail the thread but what is that bar across the top for? My external frame has that, it\'s adjustable, but in my opinion serves absolutely no structural purpose.

Oh yes the top bar has structural integrity.
Especially when you strap on a elk couple quarters

I have the same one with the camo bag. It fits me good and has packed out a lot of elk.

Yes i don\'t like the stiff frame. I like an internal frame better. I plan on using it to haul a tree stand on it. This is an older one than the one I bought in 2000. The bottom of the 2 side bars are curved out a little away from your back which might help from digging into my hips. It will work to haul a stand that has no straps on it.
