Curious. Are your 4x4 trucks modified?

The only addition my 07 Z71 has is rust.

Same here Mark. My 08 is starting to rust around the rear wheel wells.

I have some of that salt cancer too. :x

I\'m not one to buy any kind of extended warranty but when the dealer offered me rust preventive and complete undercoat with a no rust through warranty for a few hundred bucks on a USED pickup, I jumped on it. I usually keep my vehicles for many years as long as they keep treating me right with minimal upkeep.

This last winter I noticed some orange coming through the paint on one of the cab corners. I called the dealer, they sent me to a body shop, and I got BOTH cab corners replaced! Well worth the little extra cost and I still have warranty!

Man I\'m odd man out granted I can do all the mechanical work myself but I\'m not sure if anything I own is stock even the wifes car is upgraded somehow if you do it right they are just as reliable as anything else

My diesel is tuned, upgraded exhaust, and meaty tires......

I need to lift her and put some lights/a winch on...

Dan have you already cranked up the torsion bars it raises that front end up if you haven\'t

Tod, I\'ve always considered it, but read about how it makes for a rougher ride while towing.
Not sure if it\'s enough to really worry about, but that\'s why I just figured lift it so I can comfortably fit 35s and still tow well!

How much do you think you need to go up?

With my make and model people can squeeze 35s in with a 4\" lift.
A company called cognito makes a 4-6\" adjustable for mine and it\'s a VERY high quality lift.
It\'ll probably ride better than my stock set up.

I want the 4-6\" so I can find a happy height and because I have a feeling I really want 36\" tires. ;)

Well it may make it a little stiffer but never saw that it was really all that different but it definetly isn\'t gonna give ha a six in raise so if you got that figured already I would just go with that

I did the tb thing on a Chevy for one inch. No biggie changes in ride quality.

4\" is outside that adjustment range. :).

Tod, I originally was going to do what you mentioned.
Crank my torsion bars and squeeze in 34\"s.

My friend did that and his truck looks REALLY nice. His issue is when it gets off road. He can\'t stuff his tires too much or things break.
I\'m hard on this truck and I was worried I\'d break stuff. That\'s why I want the lift.

It\'ll give me some more travel and allow some more wheel space.

08 dodge 3500 diesel. Some motor and exhaust stuff happen to disappear one night so I had to put EFI live and exhaust and a cold air intake on it. Bumpers, lights, winch and a leveling kit came next. Stock stereo sucked so I tore that out and put in a new system with all new speakers, Dvd player and 2 10\'\' subs.

I modified mine with a new radiator and a new fuel pump and a new paint job. But that is to be expected. It\'s an 86 Chevy. 30 years old! :haha:

Pike..... I LOVE the efi live...
That will be down the road for me as well.

I\'d probably shoot for a 3 or 5 mode.
Something like fuel saver, tow mode, 30hp+, 60hp+, and 90hp+.

After some research last night, looks like I\'ll be going with the 7-9\" lift instead of the 4-6\"

careful with the big lifts.

you will need a huge drop receiver hitch, and that puts crazy leverage on your hitch/frame.

and that baby seat will be a PIA to load up with a squirmey kid when you need to do it..hell, you might need to belay your wife :)

I\'m lucky because I have a light trailer. I was concerned about the drop hitch.
As for my wife driving with me... this may be a good excuse to always use her car and keep my truck baby free :D

Efi really woke my truck up, along with some missing stuff of the motor I gained 3-4 mpg\'s and the truck just runs better. I got mine from Anarchy Diesel. Stock. Tow (50hp) Street (90hp) hot street (130hp) race (150hp). I have yet to try out the hot or race settings yet I am afraid I will rip the tranny out of the truck :D

2010 Nissan Frontier, purchased in 2013. I added steel skid plates and oil filter plate. The stock one is aluminum I think, and I could dent it with my foot.

Company vehicle. Midsize suv. Clearance of a corolla. Every time I go over a water bar or high spot my butt puckers when I hear it scraping.
