dovetail extension versus standard riser mount

Who uses a dovetail extension while hunting and what is the most important reason why you like the increased accuracy at the expense of an increased chance of breakage???

I have a Spot Hogg Spot it 7 pin!  Love it!  It is the first sight that I feel is perfect!  I have used it the last two seasons.  I went with the 6 inch dove tail for the accuracy!!  Just like a rifle.  The longer the sight plane, the more accurate I think you are!!  Another quality I like about the Spot Hogg is that it is pretty tough with everything being steel.  I have dropped my bow with a stick going into the the sight head and the stick shattered!  No damage to the pins!!!!

I use one on my Sword 3rd Plane. Never really thought about it being more prone to breakage, its pretty thick stuff.
