Early Season Tactics - Mark Kayser

Good stuff, but I would prefer the wallow/waterhole option, if the area is rather dry, and the temperatures are high like he describes them there.

Common knowledge stuff from a TV movie star. Did anyone else notice the scene where he was talking about it being extremely hot? Hmmm! I wonder why he was wearing a hoodie if it was so hot.

Nothing wrong with the points he was talking about. But again, all common knowledge stuff.

I wondered that too. Maybe he is one of those that is always cold. I have come across a few of those. Bad blood circulation I guess. lol

Mark said it was in the 70s where he was. My guess is that he was planning to stay late, and had the hoodie on for that reason. If you are sitting and waiting, it is no big deal. Sitting in a stand in the morning, the temps. can get up into the seventies before I have to start shedding clothes.

Where we hunt, 90 is hot weather. Sound about right Swede?

After the first weekend when we had snow, the temperatures went up into the 90s alright. We had several days in that range and more in the 80s. Ninety is getting pretty hot, but it actually helps tree stand hunting. The elk need to come to water more often.
