elk hunting in Oklahoma

Hi Guys

Just joined the forum today and already learned a lot. 3 friends and myself are doing a DIY archery elk hunt at Fort Sill, OK in October. This is our first time hunting elk and was wondering if anyone had any experience hunting elk in OK? If so what tips or suggestions do you have?

Also I was thinking about getting the elk university DVD and some issues of extreme elk magazine. Does anyone have any suggestions as to which issues or articles would be most helpful?

i personally like the ELKNUT stuff. you can google his website. he has tons of good stuff. i know it has really h elped me to get prepared for my first hunt. just my .02 worth.
