Good stuff ... I spent some time last night looking at some of the other videos in the series, and his approach is pretty rational, which I think is real helpful to people who are trying to understand elk hunting.

When I\'m elk hunting, I\'m always trying to avoid the feeling that I\'m just casting out blindly. I know that when I have a sense of purpose, and when I approach things logically, I\'m much more likely to see elk.

But the mountains are so big ... it\'s so easy to lose basic thoughts about \"What are the elks\' priorities today?\" And, before you know it, you are wandering, or -- as we said last year while elk hunting -- hiking with a bow rather than hunting.

Randy\'s videos seem like a great place to start to put a little strategic thought in before starting to worry about tactics.
