Can anyone just go and buy an epi-pen or do you need a doctor visit/prescription?

How much are they?

you need a script.

my doc said she let me get an emergency one if i wanted..but i havent picked it up. figured it cost me $10 for my copay?
she is a cool doc..she has a standing prescription for me for those motion sickness patches in case i go tuna fishing..and there was the time she gave me emergency antibiotics and diarrhea meds for my travels..thankfully, i didnt need them.,.and i just deposed them

elky is right, you have to have a script. I\'m sure a doc would write one but as for cost, I have no idea.

I care two epi-pens cuz I\'m allergic to bee stings. Yes, you need a prescription. Remind your buddies that unlike what you see in Pulp Fiction, in the case the patient goes unconscious you stick epi in the meat of the thigh NOT THE HEART! Remember, you don\'t have to be born with severe allergies. You can develop them over your lifetime.

Like elky stated, diarrhea medicine(suppositories) and antibiotics should also be carried.

Also consider Benadryl for minor allergic reactions and duct tape to treat open wounds.
