In the spirit of giving out points for the first correct answer I am asking if you can determine what I have to look forward to in the very near future?

...or a wine and cheese party where you are planning to consume a lot of both!! :haha:

Bnsafe is correct. It has been 10 years since my last one. I would encourage everyone over 50 to get their colon checked. Prep for the colonoscopy is no fun, but it sure beats cancer.
For you guys an annual PSA test is a good idea. I had prostate cancer and the screening caught it before it spread.
Gals you know what you need checked. I find the ladies are more reluctant to get their screenings than the men are. Just get checked and then go hunting.

Bnsafe, you have them now. You can post your total along with your name and avatar. When you go for your colonoscopy be sure to tell the doctor you have those points. Maybe he will give you a discount or special colon review. Maybe with those points Tick can advise you on a good doctor to see. All the best to you.

Scott don\'t fail to get that colonoscopy when it is due. They are not that big of a deal. I have had them before, with no problem.
I wish my dad had his PSA and colonoscopy. He died of cancer 22 years ago. His passing left a big void in my life. I hear about a lot of dirty rotten fathers. I must have had one of the best. Dad would be in his upper 90s now if he had not had cancer. That would have been very unlikely, but he still had a lot of good years if he did not get the disease.
It is not just you that suffers if you get cancer.
Swede is feeling generous now. Everyone that gets their colonoscopy, PSE, Mammogram. PAP can post and get an 200 extra points. The points are not redeemable for anything, but you can brag on them, and sign off on your posts showing your total. :D
Other health care tests may be considered too if they are part of a wellness screening or corrective treatment.

Elky the cleanse is the only difficult part. You basically fast for a day, and drink Gatorade and other fluids. You can see in the picture the stuff I have to take. The night before is the worst, but it is soon over.

My brother-in-law got his colonoscopy a couple years ago. The only thing he struggled with was coming out of the anesthesia. When he was starting to wake up they let my sister-in-law go in to see him. It was difficult to hold a conversation with him because he was still groggy. So she asked him if he knew who she was. He said \"no\".

Well, I\'m your wife.

\"No your not\", he says.

\"Why do you say that?\"

He replies, \"My wife is better looking than you are!\" The only time I heard a compliment and insult in the same sentence.

Turned 50 in July so technically I still have another 2 months before turning 51.

Actually scheduling it today for sometime after Memorial Day. Idea isn\'t appealing but small sacrifice for the peace of mind. I wasn\'t keen on the prostate exam either but it wasn\'t bad.

Thought I\'d bring this back to the top for Scott and since my appt is tomorrow at 3:00. Didn\'t realize how friggin\' hungry I get without having some snacks in the morning(snacks like BREAKFAST!!). Fasting and the flushing has got to be worse than the procedure - guess I\'ll find out soon enough.
