That\'s awesome. You can keep busting up the flock if they try to get away from you. Years ago I gave up a morning of bowhunting to try and kill one with my bow. I kept scattering the same flock all morning. I missed 5 shots!!! :lolno: I had a lot of fun but my goodness some of those shots were close.

dan, I am certainly enjoying myself this season. now that they are old enough to partake with me 
I am thinking of taking all 3 back out to our duck spot from opener. just the 4 of us camping over night and going hunting on Thursday over mea. the oldest was swinging that shotgun around quite nicely. lets see if he can hit something that is flying.

I was working some birds in the woods, when he saw a group of 6 come in behind us in the open. he shot the one that not grouped up. another yearling, they have been mighty tasty so far![attachment=0]<!-- ia0 -->photo.JPG<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment]

I\'m down hunting again now. I had two toms roost in the tree next to me last Saturday. Dang things flew up 100 yards from me so I shot the buck that was eating acorns under my tree. Went out tonight and got busted by 4 toms. If I had my shotgun I could have shot one but I had my bow. The neighbor lady came over today and told me she has been seeing two groups behind her place and I can hunt them if I take her with me. She wants to see what it\'s like to hunt them. I said heck ya you can go with me.

francis, toms in the spring have eluded me so far. but I take my kids and don\'t mind the young dumb ones. I am still a little jealous when I see a tom taken in the fall... land owners are great! I love the inside info they give, all 3 of the turkeys were shot from the same tree!
