Free Gear Friday!!!

So I just started calling two weeks ago I got the mistress diaphram which I am starting to get som real good cow calls from. I also got the Phelps amp white call and can get some deeper noises out of. Still to early to tell which one will work best for me I will probably look over this post to find my next ones to try.

I drew my first archery tag this year.  Hunted my home state mostly alone for 17 hard hot days.  No Elk but I will never quit.  I tried many calls and the Contender with the Bully Bull tub became my go to.  I love the range of sounds I can get out of that call.

My 2 that I have confidence in to take to the field are the champ and all star. Last summer I picked up every diaphragm I could find. Hope the wife never finds out.... expensive suckers. This year I am not sure what I will do. I had all my top teeth removed on the first of April. I am still healing up. I tried to use my all star the other day with my denture... not going to happen.

I am liking the Rocky Mountain TST Rockstar. For me, with the rockstar, it is easier to hold and even adjust the high pitch with a smooth tone or with a raspy growl when I want. The Elk 101 lessons was the only way I would have figured out how it is done and how it should sound.  :train:

I use a Select a Bull bugle and a Power Bugle.  I carry a old Carlton cow call, a couple random cow diaphragms and a E.L.K. Cow talk.

My go to call is the Rocky Mountain Select ?A? Bull Elk Call, and the Raging bull diaphragm call [emoji1360]
