Has anybody had any issue's with these inserts breaking off where the insert and shaft come togather.
I had 2 broadheads break off last year right at the insert/shaft connection. One was on a bull elk (would have been my first bull)my arrow only went in 5 inches and broke off with very little damage to the arrow tip. I know I did not hit the shoulder. The second time I hit a little rock the size of a golf ball and it broke off the same exact spot.
I think these inserts are strong when impacted from the front but any force from the side will snap the insert at the weakest point. Thats where the inset meets the arrow shaft..
