For all of you who did not know, the 2015 RMEF World Elk calling contest is coming up this Friday and Saturday.
Our sponsor Travis (owner of Wapiti River Outdoors) will be participating in it again this year.


He gave the competitors a run for their money last year finishing in 7th out of 38!
So they better watch out this year.

Thank you all very much !! Well with the qualifiers out of the way today the rest of the day was stress free !! Lol

We will all draw numbers again tomorrow to keep things fair. Today I drew # 1. Usually the first person up gets judged fairly hard on but I guess I called good enough to get scored decent. Well 2 of the judges scored my very unfair but the other 5 liked the sounds enough that it didn\'t matter !!

How it all works is each caller is called up on stage by only there drawn number then you get 45 seconds for cow sounds and 45 seconds for your bull routine and the judges score you from 1-20 in each of the 2 segments. Then your highest and lowest score out of the 7 are thrown out !! But this is where it gets a little sketchy because if 2 judges mysteriously mark you really low like judges 5 and 6 marked me today your one low score still stays !!

So just to give you guys an idea of what happened to me today:

Anyways I\'m gonna try hard for you all tomorrow and try to bring it home for all you guys !! I really want to say thank you to everyone for all the awesome support !! We truly are a team !!

I have my thoughts on who those two judges are and who they also know.

Had they just added 10 more points each (still marking you lower than the other judges)
You would have had first and by a long shot.
