I think the Rhino's are a great option if legal in the state you hunt. Currently I am using a Garmin eTrex Legend HCx and a SPOT Locator. Love the Garmin for marking areas and such, but it does have a small screen and does take some getting used to. The SPOT was great for me to stay in touch with family 2000 miles away. Allowed me to send them a message saying I was OK and send them customized messages. The Garmins work great for those deeper canyon hunts.
