We're using a drop camp setup for the first time this year and were wondering whether it is customary to provide a gratuity or tip to the outfitter like you would on a guided hunt?
IMO I'd give a tip to the guides that bring you in and drop you off then another tip for the guide that gets ur animals and another for the ones that take you out. Some outfitters will send different people each time then when you get packed out the tip goes to only those guides. Used to piss me off when i was doing it cause the boss would end up packing them out alone and keep all the tips. Doesn't have to be huge just figure what you want to tip for the entire trip and split it 3 ways. That's how I would if I was on the hunting side of a drop camp, that's coming from an ex guide
