head gear still on

out playing with the elk today and looks like they all still have their head gear,no sheds yet.but still gets my blood pumping seeing 250 elk in february.

Yeah, the bulls typically won't shed for another month or two.  I am surprised that there are still a lot of bucks out there still holding onto their antlers.

3 weeks now and the fun begins ;D  this bull always dropped in the same 7 day window and twice i spotted him after he had dropped that day to go pick up his sets...one of his off spring then dropped last year on 3/24 and i was able to pick up one of his sides after spotting him.....IMO some drop earlier if born earlier and or in lite snow years the early greenup does something in their diet to help them drop sooner...either waycounting the days!
