Hip waders

I drew the moose tag and have been scouting around the beaver ponds and creeks. Lots of waist high grass and willows that are wet. Looking to know what type of hip waders you have or can recommend. I\'m looking for something light, with comfortable boots. I don\'t want the heavy irrigation PVC type of boot, I\'ve used those for irrigating and it don\'t take long to have the inside all sweated up.
Found these at Cabelas;

I might go with these. Might go by this weekend and try them on.

Thanks, I had 3 points and 6 weighted points, some years I just put in for a PP.
Gone the last 2 weekends scouting, found lots of sign and caught a bunch of Brook Trout.

Im not so sure you will need hip waders. Borrow some if you have to

I had them along on my hunt in case I had to crosses a bog, but in essence, moose hunting in Colorado is very similar to elk hunting.
Borrow some if you have to

Find willows and some openings, and walk the edges of them and the timber.

You will do fine :)

Thanks Brad, looking at the weather forecast I\'ll probably be waist deep in snow.

SWEET!!!

if i were to get hip waders, i would buy those SIMMs ones.

but i do know some of my buddies have done some crazy stream crossings with regular (but great) rain gear. i think they bungee around the ankles. they get slightly wet, but not soaked. but they are insane.

I\'m going to take my chest waders, they are thick and heavy. I\'ll leave them at the truck and if I need them I\'ll have them close by.

Elky, I looked at the Simms waders, they are pretty proud of their products. They are good waders, but I can\'t justify the cost.
