All,
it may seem early, but to put together a good trip, it takes planning.

With that being said, would anyone be interested in maybe a Texas or Oklahoma hog hunt this Feb/Mar??

It\'s early enough where we can start throwing a couple bucks aside and preparing the logistics.

Does this sound like something anyone would be interested in?

You\'re absolutely correct that they full up early. The earlier we get a firm number the earlier I can secure us a spot!

my brother and i are interested.

he knows a lot of ranches that are fairly priced..let me know what we can do to help. FEB is better since March is TURKEY SEASON!!!! and my mind kinda goes to mush..

Agree Feb is better than March but more so for me because of weather being cooler and less grass greening up.

Last place we went to was Dos Plumas in Trent, TX. This was before they changed hands and moved properties. It\'s high fence and believe you can still reserve the entire ranch if you have 6 hunters. BUT, I think they\'re max at 8. Not sure about bigger places in OK or TX but willing to do some online legwork if want to narrow it down to a few places.

I just checked the Dos Plumas calander and they appear to be wide open for both Feb. and March. You are OK as far as the green up goes until the end of March. Once that happens they will be hard to find and the buzz worms will be coming out of hibernation.

I\'ll have to take a look at Dos Pulmas.

Something makes me think we are going to be looking at 10+ people.

I would love to join you all, but unfortunately it isn\'t going to happen for me. Too many young kiddos and not enough money :D I\'ll have to live vicariously through the reports.

I don\'t think it will! It may languish some here during the deer season rut but it\'s certainly not dead!

I\'m interested. Would love to meet more of the members of BTO and break in a new bow before elk season :p

Seems like some people have fallen off and some people still want to go. It\'s getting late in the game, but we can still make this happen.

WHO STILL WANTS TO GO?

Vanish and Fire?

It seems like Oklahoma or Texas works best for most because we have a lot of people in Colorado.

im pretty close to oklahoma so cant be that far from northern texas. throw some dates out there. that will be my deciding factor. i desperately need more vacation time,
