Hog hunting

I wouldn\'t mind fences and feeders. to me it would be as much about having fun, meeting guys, and meat in the freezer as a true hunting experience. I\'ve talked to several people that have taken hogs in Okla. under those circumstances and all have enjoyed it!

If people can\'t afford the lodging, I\'d be more than happy to bring my camper anywhere to offset costs.

I would like to hunt hogs sometime.
I have been putting off my Alaska moose hunt for a couple years and I\'m thinking 2016 is the year.
The $400 towards hogs would buy my moose license

most of the texas operations i\'ve been on.

are at $200 per day. you hunt two days. show up friday, hunt half day that evening...go full day sat, go sunday morning for the other half day, for a sum total of two days.

they include lodging. i\'ve seen great lodges with updated kitchens with all the tools and pans. you just show up with whiskey, beer..and maybe some edible groceries.

what will get your are the cost of getting out to the boonies in TEXAS. my brother and i have a mid winter trip penciled in.. anyone here that isnt an arse is invited :). near Austin. we want to fish an hydro electric pond that stays warm all winter long. kayak in..then hunt a ranch nearby for hogs. i\'ll keep info up to date.
warning, my brother can be kinda flaky.

he is open to meeting elk hunters.

There are lots of good places in OK from what I am seeing now.

I guess a timeframe would help this out too.

What works best for the majority of people?

That works great for me too. Anytime after the 1st, just as long as it\'s not Feb 19th-21st. That\'s my oryx hunt.

If we hog hunt after my oryx hunt, I can treat everyone to a magical oryx steak.
