Do you have a preferred method for sighting in your elk rifle? At what distance do you set your zero?

Check out Elk101.com Pro Staffer, Anthony Spencer's, great article on a simple strategy for dialing in his elk rifles: http://goo.gl/tvywJN

I zero @ 200 on my -06 ,  1 3/4 high @ 100 with the Noslers I'm using.

My MZ is zeroed in around 100 yrds.

I have a 250yd zero on my 7mm WSM. 2 1/2 high at 100. 3 1/2 low at 350.  I have a Vortex 6x20 with the BDC reticle. Vortex is awesome because you can plug in your load data on their website and it will tell you where the next hash will zero.

I usually sight my 7mm mag dead on at 300 yards and only has 9 inches of drop at 400yards!

1 1/2 high at 100 yards with my .270 140 gr handloads. I just moved to SE Idaho and this year I saw a lot of critters out at 300-400 yards. So next year I'm gonna zero it in, but I haven't decided on 200 or 300 yards. 400 is about my max where I feel comfortable so I will probably zero at 200 that way it is a little high at 100 and a little low at 300.
