My awesome work gave me a budget to buy a new coat and work boots. I can buy what ever brand I want, I have no restrictions on color or brand. Coat and boots need to be on the warmer side for plowing snow and being out in the cold in the mornings. I would like to stay with something that is not bulky and needs to be water proof. I have been looking at Sitka stuff but just can\'t nail down what coat to get. If you had $700 what would you get.

I doubt anything I would need would be a priority for anyone else. I sure don\'t need much. Whatever you decide on make sure it has real quality. If you start with junk, you just have to keep buying more and replacing it.

Do you have a timeline in which the money needs to be spent?
Can you wait for some upcoming sales and get a little more bang for the buck?
And do some more research in the meantime?

snow?

Sitka Coldfronts, no? i am pretty sure my friend snowboards in his ColdFront pants.

boots? Schnees pacboots. :)

snow..wow..i havent dealt with snow for years. not intimately.

I have been looking at the Sitka incinerator jacket, and also the Sitka Hudson jacket. I think the Hudson would fit the bill but I don\'t know if I like the waterfowl camo. Also looking at the Kryptec Aegis jacket.

I guess Swede and I are more alike than the rest of ya... :D :D

I layer more than anything so the coat I use is really a light weight fleece shirt/jack I\'ve owned for so many years they don\'t make them anymore... I also layer socks to so I can wear light weight boots...
