I was at the Colorado Bowhunter Assn banquet last night.
A live auction ?package? item came up and before I knew it, I raised my hand once and won the bidding

I now am the new owner of an Elite Impulse 31 bow, a Hamskea Versa Rest, a Tight Spot quiver, a dozen GoldTip arrows, and a 3 pack of 100gr VPA broadheads

$600. I think that was a good bid :)

That is a smoking deal! I picked up that same bow last year on sale for $700 and thought I got a great deal. Bare bow, no accessories. It?s a fun bow to shoot, congrats on the winning bid!

Thanks guys.

I put an old rest on a shot it a few times. Pretty sweet. I like the back wall on the draw too

I wont be needing the 100gr VPAs.

Ill list them in the classifieds if anyone is interested

Yes Brad, the back wall is what sold me after shooting 8 different bows. Much different than my 11 yr old Bowtech that wanted to take my arm off if I blinked to hard!

I got the bow all set up today. Got a peep tied in too
A buddy of mine wanted the Hamskea rest so I sold that to him.
I then replaced that with a QAD since I have them on my other bows.

I also picked up a new MBG 5 pin sight

The draw length is about 1/2? too long so I?ll have to switch out the modules

I?ve never had a 6? brace height before so I had to fletch up the dozen arrows with 3? vanes

But I can rock and roll with it :)

That looks like a great setup! So probably a dumb question because I am not a bow setup guru, I just run things by trial and error. Did you fletch with 3? vanes because of possible clearance problems with higher profile 2? vanes or because they may be more forgiving with the shorter brace height?

I?ve killed elk with Blazers, DuraVanes, and feathers.
But I?m just not a fan of Blazers. Personal preference I guess.
I do know there is better arrow stability with longer vanes, especially in windy conditions

The Gold tip dozen arrows that were part of the package were fletched with blue and white Blazers. My archery shop exchanged them for blank shafts and supplied the 3? vanes of my choice (they weren?t even the shop that donated them)

I am going to miss shooting feathers tho, but I still have my Ol trusty bow to do that if I want
