Our \'pond forum\' may be small but I like it.

Big ponds have their advantages, but so do small ponds.

I like to see who is camping on the other side of the water. Or maybe next to me.
If they are at a small pond, I gotta guess they like a \'small pond\' atmosphere too.
They must like to catch the same kind of fish I do.
The fish dont have to big, and the stories dont have to be \'loooooonnnggg winded\' to impress

What about you?

this is the only \"pond\" i fish in. oh i walk around some others, but rarely ever cast a lure. i am much more comfortable in a place where i know folks. prob wouldnt know it by all my posts but i am very shy an self conscious around folks i dont know. takes me a long time to relax an even have a decent conversation, let alone joke an have fun. just my personality.

Just the opposite of me. I joke with total strangers. That doesn\'t always work out.

I, too, like our small gathering of misfits and malcontents. In time, our small pond will grow...I hope the atmosphere doesn\'t change. Like Still Hunter, I tend to joke with anyone. Sometimes my jokes are misunderstood or \"slightly\" inappropriate. Seems like the older I get the less I care, so I\'ll just apologize right now to those of you I will eventually offend.

Sorry :tease:

Same here...would love to generate some more conversation so the fire doesn\'t go out though. Plus, I need something to do during the day, lol.

agreed most the people on here I recognize from other places and are usually the same group I paid attention too i guess people here are just more of my style.

I\'m a \"small pond\" kind of guy ... I can tolerate misfits and malcontents just fine, as long as they tolerate me.

AB, along with Brad and others, have really put together a decent spot here -- one where I feel like I can get real answers to my questions, PM people without worry, and contribute even though I\'m not as experienced as others.

The water here is much to my liking. The \" big fish\" in the big waters often times bore me to death. I\'m a small fry sorta guy. :dance2:

Really, I don\'t care one bit about the size of the pond. It is the fish and the people you fish with that matter.

Love the folks here at the pond.

It\'s really shaping up to be a quality pond. One thing I like, is I can pull out my wallet and share pics of any size with y\'all..and I don\'t have to go find some computer geek to \"re-size\" them!

Speaking of ponds...here\'s one of me and my boy after a great NorCal Waterfowl hunt a few years back :D

I also can appreciate the fact you can wade in bare foot. Don\'t need those proverbial \" boots\" you need when wading in some other waters. ;) just a great bunch of guys & gals right here!

This is like a small church (for you, Swede!), though not with the rigid rules of some other small churches where iron-fisted preachers rule from the pulpit. There are lots of good people here, with \"experts\" of all skill levels from which we can all learn. We don\'t have \"the leading expert in the elk hunting field\" over here, but I guess there can be only one of those, right?

But I do still enjoy the big, loud, rowdy redneck bar too. I think there are good things to be found in both establishments.

Jacuomo: I like your analogy. I have always gravitated toward small Bible believing/preaching churches. You can get the boot from our little Baptist church, but you have to really work at getting removed. Removal with us is a last resort. I teach in our Church, and it is okay to disagree with me. I will ask you to explain the basis of your disagreement. If you make a good point, I may change my opinion. It has happened in church and can happen here.

Pond? Lots of experience on here and a really great group so far!
