It's so close i can smell it.

Went up in the hills for a bit the other day. bad bad idea....... I could smell it! It was in the air. now I'm running around like a junky and rewatching my extensive collection of elk hunting videos. I've got it in a bad way.


Anybody else already going through their packs and getting everything ready?


I put in for the Idaho Hells Canyon archery hunt. This is my 5th year putting in for that zone. hoping this is the year.

Been watching my videos and practicing my calling. Put on a 40 lb pack this morning and hiked about 5 miles....No, I'm not excited... :

If having my alarm on my phone and ringtone set as a bugle, shooting 4 days a week, checking and re-checking my pack, shooting with it on,  living on GE, dreaming while at work of making the perfect shot, and irritating my fiancé with elk videos and cow calls... Nope.. I've been excited since last sept!!! I don't know what's more exciting, elk season or my up coming wedding.. I'm thinking elk season!!!
