sooooo, I have mentioned this before and asked for advice...... my youngest boy is 7, will be 8 in july. he is left eye dominant but does everything right handed. I have tried before to teach him to shoot left handed, but it was too awkward for him and he gave up right away.....
so far he has missed two turkeys since Thursday, a jake on Thursday. And a huge tom today, on our property! so I bought some 2 3/4 8 shot, on my lunch break, to have him practice and see where he is aiming. the turkey loads are a bit much for him, especially after missing, so he wasn\'t keen on the shotgun.
the wife and I discussed if we should teach him to shoot lefty. we asked him and he agreed to try with his red rider.

Keep it up!
I had the same issue, but it eventually took over and became natural.

Those birds need to watch out.

I\'m sure all of ya\'ll already know this but for your turkey gun if you use adjustable sights you can sight it in with light field loads and your heavy turkey load will shoot close enough to kill a turkey... :ugeek: :D :ugeek: :D :D

Saves money and your shoulder and a lot of head aches.... :upthumb: :upthumb:

If hes not ready to learn the lefty thing yet you could put a red dot scope on the gun and that should take care of it.
