I just ordered the LEUPOLD BX-3 MOJAVE BINOCULARS 8X42 in black.
I never really needed binos until I moved out here to NM, so I decided to buy a decent pair (at least I hope they are decent)

The reviews are great, I got $20 off because of a sale, and I prefer buying only US made products.
Also, my range finger and all of my scopes are Leupold, so I decided to stay in suit.

They should be sitting at home for me when I return from this \"trip\". I a very excited to put them to the test!!!! :thewave:

That model has some good reviews.
However you should note that they are made in Japan.
There are some great optics coming out of Japan, so don\'t let it bother you.
The only Leupold optics made in the USA are the Gold Rings.

I feel silly now! When I researched it I read they were out of Beaverton, Oregon.
Now I see it is just their headquarters. I am still very happy because the factory in Beaverton employs 700+ people, so that still makes me feel good.
I am not against buying from overseas, I just try to keep as much money as I can in our pockets.

Thank you for the correction and I really look forward to using these binos. Like you said, the reviews seem to be good.

I\'ll pay extra ever time for quality made in USA stuff, there are some inferior /cheap things made here, but in general I try my darned not to send any of my labor overseas.

I have used Leupold Wind River Cascade binoculars in 10x42 for many, many years. My first pair of 8x42\'s I gave to my son. I highly recommend them. While they have a great warranty, oh wait, there is no need for one, because you\'re not going to need it!

Yes, they are made overseas, but rest assured that Leupold looks for quality and upholds that in binoculars as well as other optics. You will not be disappointed. (well, OK, I do prefer the higher magnification for out West, even though I use mine in whitetail woods back East too!)

Lew is right but Leupold also has bionuclars made in the Philippines and China but all are made with the Leupold glass and technology or so I\'ve been told by Leupold... All warrany service is handled through the Beaverton, Oregon facality...

I have a pair of Leupold Acadia that were made in the Philippines and a pair of Redfield (owned by Leupold) made in China... I like both and both are good but I use the Redfield more often than not...
