Last minute tips?

I think it was Brad that taught me this one.....

Cut your toenails a few days before your trip!

I'd say don't forget your license & ID, and also don't forget toilet paper and probably lip balm. Little things that you forget can make the trip less enjoyable.

Here's a new one I came up with last week when setting up our wall tent. We went to zip the front door on it and the zipper was not latching correct, leaving gaps in the zipper. Luckily this didn't happen during a rifle season hunt when it gets extremely cold at night, but from now on we will be bringing four or five binder clips with us to camp. If a zipper fails, you can simply clip the door together. Wouldn't be an ideal situation, but it would certainly keep the door closed and keep some of the heat in at night.

Extra snap on bugle reeds if you use that type of bugle.  Also, a spare tire for any trailers you may be using (camper or utility etc.) and a four way lug wrench, the lug nuts on a trailer aren't always the same lug nut size as your vehicle.

Stop and listen. We picked up so much more deer movement this weekend with our ears before our eyes.

When you stop to listen, stop in the shade. Don't let the sun light up your ugly mug.

Pee down hill...

Any arrows fired this weekend, Lark?

No, drew back once at 56 yards but branches were in the way and the more I moved the more the buck was staring at me. Too far to shoot on a high alert buck.

Good decision. You've got more time I presume?
