Late season lope pics

I had two friends with tags for an area I\'ve got good access to in WY. Here\'s a few pics from the hunts

First day was absolutely freezing; 20* and blowing 30mph. We found goats quickly in numbers beyond exaggeration; hundreds and hundreds of them stacked up on a private farm which I have access to :upthumb:

2.5 miles of crawling/sneaking later my buddy Bertin put a good shot on a doe from about 150 yds. Right before he took the shot I look over and there\'s a buck bedded at 70 yds. He got up and came right by us at 25yds. This stuff only happens if you 1) leave bow at home and 2) are huntn does

I don\'t know if maybe he was a bit blinded by the snow/sun? I hunt em here with my bow every year and they run at the first movement from a mile away. Musta known we were doe huntn

Short crawl later=easy shot and that hunt was over.

My phone died seconds after I took this shot so you\'ll have to take my word for it on our success. Good times! One tag filled one to go

Fast forward to 3 weeks later (last Sat.) and I swung back out with my friend Andy. One more doe tag to fill

They weren\'t hard to find. 500 pronghorn can\'t hide very easy

I think there might be a few out here

These critters gave us a run for our money. We put on three different stalks and 7.5 miles before we finally got within 300 yards of a group of about 100 and Andy made a good shot and first kill with his new custom built .260

Perfect double lung. She ran about 30 yards and was down in seconds :upthumb:

Will\'s Lope Hunts, 100% success I enjoy helping others as much as huntn for myself. I\'ll be taking a couple of my BTO buddies on this hunt next year. I\'m pretty sure there\'ll be a couple guys shooting their first pronghorn. Can\'t wait! Merry Christmas guys!

When I\'ve hunted them late they\'ve been real tough to get close to ... That many eyes are very difficult to get past.
