I was set up to shoot through an opening 15 yards in front of me and the bull should have walked right past...........but the bull turned and walked through the opening coming straight at me !! Lucky I was at full draw and as he stepped past the arrow flew. All I remember is I could have grabbed his ivory antler tips as he went past.

I was wearing cheap 20 dollar camo pants and a camo pull over top I made myself. Nothing fancy. As for the wind yep it was in my face and I never use any scents. But I had a buddy in the back ground cow calling and the bull was focus intently on him !! Pretty lucky I guess.

20 years later I still have and wear that camo top I made !! I wore it this season actually !! LOL Plus I still wear my lucky gloves that I shot my first bull in about 30 years ago !! They are rages now and I have to wear gloves inside my old gloves !! To many holes !! Use what works !!

4 steps with my bow. I have had quite a few 20-50 yds with rifle and bow and quite a few 200-400 probably average like 100 yards overall.

WW, I actually had a 5 point bull step over my bow and legs below the knee when fed over me. Wind was perfect and he just lifted his head and took a big step like straddling a log. The raghorn with him was so close I could have grabbed his hoof. I\'d sat beside a trail in a saddle for a break and here they came. Definitely the HECS suit!

But nothing beats the time my hunting partner had a cow elk grab the hood on his camo hoodie and give it a hard yank. Almost jerked him off his knees. He left the dried cud on the back of his hood for the rest of the season, and we had a lot of laughs over it.
