Looking for handgun recommendations

My opinion only...

A 380 is a good CC gun as is a 32 or 22 until ya gota use um... :? :? The 40 or 9MM will do a lot better with those 3 to 5 shots when put on target than any of the smaller caliber... I\'ve used a handgun all my life but, for me, my KelTec PF9 ( stands for 9MM) is easy to carry and conceal.. Handles well and is ACCURATE... Accurate is the key word since if ya don\'t hit where and what ya shoot those 3 to 5 shoot are useless except for the fear factor...

Myself I rather put 3 to 5 125 grain 9MM HP\'s in a attacker that a lota fear... ;) ;)

Like I said just my opinion and everone has as many as I do...

By the way CC handguns are like buyin\' bows... If ya don\'t shoot um 1st ya don\'t know what ya got...

I have a S&W 40cal 4006 but its not a good CC/pocket gun.
I also have a Browning 9mm in the 1911, same issue.

I really liked the S&W MP Shield 40, and also the M42.
Now its just if I want a 40 or 380

Here is a comparison video of the two [the Shield is 9mm]

Just like I said in my text, I would shoot them first. I absolutely hated the .380s, but some people love them.

stolen???? Wow... that is no good!

The one thing that was nice about it was the concealment.
I just didn\'t like the way it sat in my hands. It was never comfortable.
After putting 500 rounds through it, I still want never comfortable with how I shot with it either.

I like carrying something that I am fully confident with, no question about it.

Im going to research the Kel Tec PF9....
This whole CC is a new world!

I think since I got mine they furnish a pocket holster for the PF9 when ya buy it... I have one That my gunsmith buddy gave me since I turned um on to the PF9\'s and he sells a bunch of um every month... I normally wear the blue Carhart overalls... I carry mine in the holster in my pocket and no one that I know of has noticed it for several years... The PF9 in close quarters, handles and shoots very well... Once ya learn how it breaks downs easy for cleanin\'...

Don\'t get me wrong, my PF9 is strickly for self defense only and not for anythin\' else... I own and have available for use :D :D (in my truck) if a situtation occuries, a S&W SIgma 9MM and at home a S&W MP 9MM along with a couple a well placed SKS\'s and a 12 ga 870 Remington within reach of my bed... :upthumb: :upthumb:

Some say I\'m lookin\' for trouble... Not lookin\' for trouble but ready for it if it rears it\'s ugly head... :D :D

The S&W MP Shield looks like a good choice...

By the way the PF9 weight is 12.7 oz unloaded....

I just looked at the 1st part of the video and saw that barrel length of both the Glock 42 and S&W Shield were short... The PF9 is about the same size as the 42 but has a 3.1\" barrel..

Well....after more research and handling, this afternoon I pulled the trigger so to speak.
My wallet got a little lighter but my pocket got a little heavier

This is what I decided upon

Nice looking gun. I have to ask as I\'m not a gun guy at all, what is the double looking trigger?

That is the \'safety trigger\'

that is a good gun to carry and gets a lot of great reviews. let us know how it shoots. I was always tempted by the LC9 but the m&p just felt better to me.

Nice purchase. I carry the LCP. I went with the LCP because my Dad has one and we can share ammo other than that I might have went with the LC9.

Here\'s the holster I use for mine. I just carry it in my front pocket.
