I\'m wondering what mental habits, imaging, or processes you folks go through as you practice.

Any specific practices out there you want to share?

John, are you talking shooting, calling, or both?

When shooting my bow, at draw I pick one thing to concentrate on first, nock point, bow level etc then only on the target visualizing the arrow hitting my point of aim.

Aim small, miss small. A good shot feels like holding a tight rubberband at full draw, and you have a razor on your trigger finger. Push that razor against the rubberband until it snaps, sending the bow forward and your draw arm back.

I guess what I\'m wondering is if you have any specific \"mental drill\" ...

A simple one is \"Aim, aim, aim\" as you slowly push that razor into the rubber band.

Others \"say\" to themselves \"Pick a spot\", or go through a \"checklist\"

i dont, but when i get to throwing arrows around i usually can focus more an bring the groups together

mental imaging got me thru puberty..
wait..what are we talking about? oh, nevermind..

delete. hahha.

i do however envision the shot going into that perfect shot. if it works, pure theory. i rarely remember much after the adrenalin dump.

I have to keep telling myself to pick a spot over and over. The form part I don`t have a problem with but I a tendancy to want to rush my shot sometimes so I am allways telling myself pick a spot.
